The International Organization for Standardization is a worldwide federation of memeber national standards associations, who through ISO technical committees, prepare International Standards. All interested members can participate in any committee working on an issue of particular interest to them.

ISO 9001:2015 is just one of the many standards that have been developed by the International Organization for Standardization. The focus of ISO 9001:2015 was to prduce product that conforms. The focus of the new ISO 9001:2015 standard is to control the process that produces conforming products. as well as to control the process that satisfies the customer.

The control of continuous improvement processes is also of importance in the new standard.
