KanBan is a stock maintenance system that ensures that a customer has appropriate quantities of stock on-site. Stock levels are pre-determined by the customer and maintained by Gould Fasteners.

The system involves the establishment of primary and safety stock levels. Data about current stock levels can be sent to Gould Fasteners in various ways, as high tech or as low tech as the customer wishes. Regardless of the mechanism of communication, replenishment would be on its way quickly.
