Industrial Retaining Ring is now part of Waldes-Truarc an international manufacturer of retaining rings, circlips and custom stampings. The Retaining Ring was invented to replace the nut, bolt, and washer system as a fastening device in 1927. They were used to hold bearings and other rotating parts in place under pressure.
