Waldes-Truarc is an international manufacturer of retaining rings, snap rings, and custom stampings. The retaining ring was invented in 1927 as a fastening device to replace the stud, bolt and washer system. They were utilized to support bearings in applications involving rotating parts under pressure. Today, their are found in applications ranging from tiny shutters in cameras and delicate instruments and equipment to air conditioners and other office equipment. They are also used in toys, sports equipment and industrial machinery.
